Fleeing through the spectacular Niagara Gorge and escaping an Indian ambush, they reach the safety of Fort Oswego on the Lake Ontario shore, where Mabel is reunited with her father, Sgt. Pathfinder and Jasper are dispatched on a mission across the storm-raked lake to help relieve a beleaguered British outpost, accompanied by Mabel--who has won both their hearts--and her father, Sgt.
