The balance of the film flashes back to Karen's ribald private life with her lover (Kurt Russell, The Hateful Eight) and her loose-living roommate (Oscar winner Cher, Moonstruck). This is in contrast to her humdrum job at the plant--or it least it was humdrum until Karen and several other employees become contaminated by radiation. Will she stop at nothing, even her own safety, to expose the truth?
