Produced by respected music documentarian Morgan Neville, the 18 song collection begins with Waylon’s 1970; appearance on his longtime friend Johnny Cash’s ABC TV variety show, singing “Only Daddy That’ll Walk The Line” with; wife Jessi Colter playing keyboards.; His growing momentum comes alive in a long-unseen 1974 appearance on Don Kirsbner’s Rock Concert singing “Honky; Tonk Heroes,” “Louisiana Women,” “This Time” and “Slow Rollin’ Low” with his band the Waylors, including pedal steel; guitar legend Ralph Mooney. Following are five never-before-seen 1974 performances shot by Waylon’s brother-in-law,; Nashville music icon Cowboy Jack Clement, at the same time Clement was producing Waylon’s landmark Dreaming My; Dreams album. Along with loose, easygoing rendittons of “Lonesome, On’ry And Mean” and “Amanda,” an extended am on; “I’m A Ramblin’ Man” showcases Waylon’s formidable guitar picking.
