Burton had a passion for classical music, and that influence can be found in the songs 'Ride the Lightning', and 'Master of Puppets'.; ; 'Ecstasy of Gold', written by Ennio Morricone, is also covered by the orchestra as the first song. Ennio Morricone is best known as the composer for the so-called 'spaghetti westerns', 'Fistful of Dollars', 'For a Few Dollars More', 'The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly', and others. In 2007, Morricone was presented an Honorary Academy Award for his contributions to movies over his career.
